Dad’s Cameras

Dad’s Cameras is a community camera lending library made up of donated film cameras, many of them passed down from parents and family members. The project began when my dad left me his cameras after he died, and it has grown as friends have donated cameras from their own families. I currently have about 30–35 cameras, including 35mm, medium format (120), and Polaroid cameras. Anyone borrowing a camera will receive it with a card that lists basic technical details, notes on where the camera came from, and any tips for using it. The goal is to keep these cameras in use and make film photography more accessible. I will offer low-cost black-and-white film in the future using bulk-rolled film.

Donations are welcome. If you have a film camera or related gear you no longer use and would like to contribute it to the library, you can fill out the donation form below. All donated items become part of the lending collection.

If you’d like to donate a camera, lens or accessory to the cause, fill out this form here.
